FIBER ARTS FIELD TRIP
Attached are some photos taken during Fiber Arts NG field trip to a working farm in Sequim where fiber
artist Ellen Page showed us how wool is processed for spinning. She takes the whole fleece (from her sheep and those
of her customers) and washes and cards it to remove the lanolin and dirt/debris. She also took us into her studio and showed how she uses the wool
batts from the large drum carder to make duvets for bed and breakfast inns across the country.
