Clothing for our Doll Raffle is starting to trickle in and they are beautiful as always.
This year we are not going to have the different categories. We would however appreciate that whenever possible, you could make a complete outfit so that everythiing matches. It is sometimes hard to match the different pieces that are turned in.
This activity provides operating funds to run Silverdale Chapter and enables us to assist our community through charitable contributions.
We also are enabled to further us individually to develop, as well as spread sewing and creating as a life skill and artistic endeavor.
Doll Raffle Update
Clothes are coming in for the doll raffle and they are very cute. Some big or little girl will be very pleased to win a doll and many outfits.
Normally we give 12 outfits with each doll and I hope this year will be the same, so we still need more outfits. If you are making skirts or
pants if you could also make a shirt or blouse to go with the skirt or pants that would give us an outfit and make it much easier to put the wardrobes together.
I am accepting clothes now and will until the annual meeting on the 25th of September, but why wait.
Why not get your clothes in soon so that you can get on with your next project. The drawing will be held at our Fall Fashion Fling on October 16, 2010.
I appreciate those of you that have already given me clothes and I am looking forward to the rest of you getting clothes to me.
If you would like to make clothes but are having trouble getting them to me, please contact me and we can make arrangements to get them from you.
